Krista Lauer previously served as Project Director of the Global Health Financing Initiative of the Open Society Foundations (OSF) in New York City, where she utilized grant-making and other philanthropic tools to leverage funds in support of the health and human rights of socially excluded populations.
Prior to her time at OSF, she was the Senior Policy Advisor at MPact (Global Action for Gay Men’s Health and Rights), previously known as the Global Forum on MSM & HIV (MSMGF). In addition to policy and advocacy work at the UNAIDS Programme Coordinating Board (PCB), the UN General Assembly and U.S. Congress, her programmatic experience includes implementing HIV, TB, malaria, and maternal and child health programs in Benin and Zambia.
She has served as Alternate Member of the Private Foundations Delegation to the Board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria,
